This 4" x 3" Elm hollow form features expressive grain rarely seen in the species. Turned thin and delicate, the vessel has a lightness that invites it to be picked up, held, and explored by hand. Subtle shifts in grain and tone reveal themselves as the piece is turned, giving it a different character from every angle. Its small scale and refined form create an intimate connection between the material and the person holding it. Finished with multiple coats of Danish wiping oil, the surface brings out the natural warmth and depth of the Elm.
