Flute is a 7" aromatic cedar bowl defined by flowing grain and warm shifts between pale wood and deep reddish-brown tones. The grain moves across the form in layered waves, reminiscent of sandstone walls slowly carved and shaped by water. Natural variations in the cedar create a sense of depth and movement, with each line revealing another layer within the wood. Named after the fluted formations created through erosion, the piece draws a connection between the growth of a tree and the gradual shaping of a landscape. Flute is a study in movement and time, capturing the quiet patterns that emerge when nature is allowed to shape the material.
