Quiet Heat is an 11″ trivet made from black walnut with a natural cork top, bringing two warm, simple materials together in one functional piece. The walnut base shows off the deep color and natural grain of the wood, while the cork provides a soft, heat-resistant surface for hot cookware and serving dishes. Its round, minimal form is designed to sit quietly on the table when not in use and become part of the meal when it is. The name Quiet Heat reflects that simplicity, an object made to handle heat without demanding attention. Each trivet is shaped and finished by hand, allowing the natural variation in the walnut to make every piece a little different.
