Sol is a 10" cherry bowl shaped around the natural movement and subtle irregularities of the tree. From the center, the grain radiates outward in a flowing pattern that resembles the movement of water across an open ocean. A natural knot along the side has been preserved and filled with kintsugi-inspired brass, creating a quiet contrast between the warm tones of the cherry and the metallic repair. The shifting grain and rich color give the piece a sense of movement while maintaining a simple, grounded form. Sol celebrates the tension between imperfection and beauty, allowing the natural character of the wood to remain at the center of the piece.
