The Apprentice Spoon

The Apprentice Spoon began when Ben hired Connor and gave him a simple challenge: make 500 wooden spoons. What started as a straightforward task became an exercise in repetition, patience, and learning the material through thousands of small decisions. Each spoon is shaped by hand, with the natural character of the wood left visible rather than hidden. The goal was never simply to make 500 spoons, but to give Connor the time and repetition needed to develop his own skills as a maker. Every Apprentice Spoon is a small record of that process, made by Connor as he worked his way toward 500.
