The Diana

Price

$400.00

Part of the Icarus Series, Diana is a 13-inch pendant turned from cherry sourced from a tree cut down in Sugar House. The material carries a direct sense of place, grounding the piece in something local and lived, while the form lifts it into something more atmospheric.

Named after Diana, the Roman counterpart to the Greek goddess Artemis, associated with the moon, the hunt, and the wild, the piece draws from themes of independence and quiet strength. There is a clarity to the form, something precise but not rigid, shaped with restraint and intention.

When lit, the cherry gives off a soft, warm glow, with subtle variation in the grain creating movement across the surface. Diana holds a calm, watchful presence, rooted in both its origin and the idea of light as something steady and guiding.
