Velvet is a 10" walnut bowl defined by its deep brown tones, rich grain, and quiet sense of refinement. Small natural scars throughout the wood are filled with kintsugi-inspired brass, creating subtle flashes of gold against the darkness of the walnut. The broad form and smooth surface give the piece a soft visual weight, reminiscent of the depth and richness of velvet fabric. Rather than hiding the imperfections, the brass allows them to become restrained details that reveal themselves slowly as the bowl moves through the light.
